They tell me, the older one gets, the faster time goes by. All I have to say is that September and October have slipped by in the blink of an eye - does that mean I am old?
They also tell me that time flies when one has fun - that's it! We've just been having fun!
Early in September we went to the Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain Park. It was hot.
Then a week after that, Kerrie treated me to this guy's concert:
I found us microphones (glow stick on the floor) and we sang. And danced. And made everybody around us (including that guy in the blue) wish they were having as much fun as we were.
About a week or so after that, it was Birthday Weekend. Norm managed to get two free tickets for this:
But Corina was in town, so there was three of us. Well, the Romanian, the Peruvian and Norm managed to get in with the two tickets and enjoyed one hour of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The next day we went up to Helen for Oktoberfest:
And I was given a birthday hug by this giant chicken:
The next week we went to see this guy and he was amazing:
The show was at the Fox Theater, we had never been. It is quite Moorish and very beautiful.
The show was perfect. So was the piano player who also played this funny looking instrument with a straw:
Then there was THIS couple... notice they are the only ones standing up? Correct. My dear friend Kerrie volunteered to trade seats with me when she saw me reaching over the seats to tap them on the shoulder to tell them to SIT DOWN.
About ten days after that, we went to South Carolina for Norm's induction to the Keepers of the Dance. Pellet came with us - he was so good in the car!
This was the presentation of the award:
And this was the exhibition dance. Be sure to enlarge the video so you can fully take in the "footwork"
Norm and his mama! So proud of him for his achievement in the dancing world.
We found this beer in SC and bought it since we love Rolling Rock so much... don't waste your money. Unless you like Miller Light
Last weekend we went to a beautiful wedding of a friend of ours.
Norm made macarons! Orange Creamsicle, Lemon Cream and Red Wine Dark Chocolate...
This past Sunday the family came up because Pablo was asked to celebrate Mass for the Peruvian community for the feast of El Senor de los Milagros (The Lord of Miracles). We had lunch at a Greek place and ate so much, that afterwards we had to go across the street to drink some Colombian coffee (and eat flan).
Because after all, we are not 18 anymore and all this non-stop activity is bound to catch up to us...
