This is a common scene out on our front porch. Yes, Pellet is up on the railing and check out little Cali to the right climbing up Norm's leg.
Pictures and stories of Norm, Fern, Benjamin - the Big Brother and Nicolas - the Little Brother and Sofia Grace - the baby sister. A new chapter has started in this household of only human feet and no two days have yet been the same.

Going On?
Lots of rain = much needed
Dogs going crazy and lots of barking = unnecessary
Current state of being = mixed feelings
Happy Sunday Afternoon!
Thanks FAY

Concert Etiquette?
Is there such thing as concert etiquette? Norm and I went to see Jack Johnson in concert in Atlanta. We had lawn seats and got there as soon as doors opened so we could have an awesome location - front and center.
We sat and waited for 4 hours - yes, it took 4 hours before Jack Johnson played - obviously as time went by, people wandered in and everybody picked their ideal location. Before we knew it, there were people in front of us - they were sitting on the steep slope, so they kept sliding, which was a very amusing sight.
There are a few things that I do not understand (Norm does) and I don't know if I will ever understand:
1. what is the point of arriving early to a concert when the late stragglers are simply going to crowd on top of you to get a good seat. Why not just arrive late and be rude?
2. what is the point of standing up at a concert? There are some concerts that standing up is welcomed (concerts with heavy wild music). Jack Johnson music is laid back and calm - a live performance should be enjoyed sitting and relaxing.
3. what is the point of spending extra money and getting a "chair" seat instead of a "lawn" seat (when lawn seats are available) if everybody is going to get up anyway?
At the end of the day (12:15am - when we got home), the concert was great. Jack Johnson is a very talented musician and sends out a good message with awesome lyrics. The performance made the 4 hour wait, rude stragglers and the scorching sun more tolerable.
Enjoy some pictures:

We had to kill... time... some... how.... this was how: Stage shot - Jack Johnson is the little lit up person - the TVs in the
background showed awesome pictures: Blurry shot: Hi-Def TVs on stage and the crowd standing up,
yes I ended up standing
(only for a song or two - and mainly so I could take pictures)

Yeah Right
I THOUGHT the counters were clear of all temptations after I finished doing the dishes. When I went back to the kitchen, I found this (it's a 1/2 tomato that was supposed to go back in the fridge, apparently there was a different destiny for it):
I think this helps justify the mysterious disappearance of the 3 raw hamburgers last week...

Summer Days
We absolutley love summertime! We get to spend time outside working on the yard and playing! Unfortunatley today, Norm was called in to work on his day off, so he wasn't around to enjoy the outdoors...

Illness
Pellet is sick. He has had a strange cough for the last 3 days and this morning we woke up at 5:20AM because he was making strange noises which will not be described here (they were very disturbing, or maybe it was the early time of day that made the noises become extra disturbing).
Norm took him to the vet. Vet says it's some sort of kennel cough not covered by the regular vaccine and that he's seen this in several dogs this summer - apparently dogs have deceases that "go around" in the dog world just like us humans do, who would've thought?
So he coughs (which does not sound like human coughs) and shortly after the coughing Cali bites his lip. It looks something like this:

Quick Transition
How, we ask ourselves, can she so quickly go from being a little angel to an attacking little creatutre?

No Space too Small
As long as Cali has been with us, she's been able to fit in the smallest of spaces such as:
between cabinet & fridge
underneath Pellet's table
behind the stand up fan
inside the pots' cabinet
Lately she is coming to the understanding that growing hurts - literally. She has been crawling in between the wall and the couch, gets stuck and starts to cry.
We heard crying today and found this:
Doesn't it look painful? To make things somewhat normal - she took her toy to this strange part of the house (the toy is that teal thing below her foot).
